Thank You CUE!!!! Thank you | Kansas City Missing | Rally pics | Tour Inspiration A special thanks to Monica Caison and her volunteers for bringing CUE's "On the Road to Remember 2007" tour to Kansas City to highlight our missing. Monica you are amazing.......thanks! Thank you also to Brandy Shipp for organizing the rally here in KC. The balloons were great! Local Kansas City Missing Persons that were featured are as follows: Summer
Shipp, Shirley
McKeown, Sam and Lindsey
Porter, Kara Kopetsky The annual tour was created to generate new interest in cold cases of missing persons across our nation. The inspiration came in 2004 from the case of a North Carolina college student "Leah Roberts" who had gone on a cross country trip of exploration; to only later find her wrecked abandoned vehicle, leaving no sign of her whereabouts for years. Leah's case went cold and interest faded until CUE volunteers set out on a grueling 14 day trip to re trace her route and inform the media along the way of many still missing in the path of the tour. In the years to follow, to keep hope alive after families from abroad had voiced the need for more help and supported the tour "idea".
Anyone with information concerning any cases featured should call CUE Center (910) 343-1131 or the confidential 24-hour tip-line at (910) 232-1687. Tips can also be left at the CUE Center's Web site at www.ncmissingpersons.org |
